I have a car loan on my credit report. A few years ago I was with difficulty, and several late payments (30-60 days). The car was never repo'd but the account was closed due to refinancing, but are funded and closed the account and the account on all my credit cards reports.
My question – should this be so? If not, how do I fix it?

Background: Almost three years ago I had a large credit card account go delinquent. I worked out a repayment agreement and agreed to a monthly payment to be taken out of my checking account each month automatically by the creditor. I did pretty good but was not perfect.
